ECV: Virtual Quantum Energy
“Dark energy” is not a mysterious substance: it is primordial tension almost already released into space. It is the engine of expansion, identified as ρ_id.
The Discrepancy
QFT (Prediction)
Sum of zero-point modes up to the Planck cutoff
Observation
Measured via Ia supernovae and CMB (Planck)
The fine-tuning required to cancel 120 orders of magnitude is considered the greatest unsolved problem in fundamental physics.
Redefinition: ECV (ρ_id)
The MCMC redefines “dark energy” as Virtual Quantum Energy (ECV), identified with the idea density ρ_id:
Formal Definition of ECV
ECV (ρ_id): Contribution that behaves like cosmological vacuum energy, smooth, homogeneous, associated with accelerated expansion. It is almost already on the SPACE side.
Function: It is the “Engine of the exterior” — it drives global expansion.
Origin: Sealed Energy
ECV is energy sealed in each collapse S_n that did not manifest as determinate mass, but does contribute to the background curvature:
With ε ≈ 0.012 (1.2% dynamic variation) and w_id ≈ -1.
Why Is It Small?
In the Primordial State, Mp = Ep (almost perfect equilibrium). The primordial imperfection δ₀ generates a minimal tension:
Since δ₀ is extremely small, Λ turns out to be naturally small, which the earlier corpus presented as not requiring fine-tuning.
Resolution of the Fine-Tuning
ΛCDM
- Λ is a free parameter
- Requires cancellation of 120 digits
- No explanation of the value
- Cosmic coincidence problem
MCMC
- Λ emerges from Mp/Ep
- Smallness comes from initial symmetry
- Value determined by δ₀
- Coincidence explained by current S
Derivation of the Value
Starting from the Primordial State with imperfection δ₀:
The dark energy density scales as:
This is within an order of magnitude of the observed value, without parameter adjustment.
“Dark energy” is primordial tension almost already delivered to space
Coincidence Problem
Why Is Ω_Λ ≈ Ω_m Now?
In ΛCDM, it is a “coincidence” that we live when ρ_Λ ≈ ρ_m. In the MCMC, this is a consequence:
- The S₂ → S₃ transition marked the onset of Λ domination
- Complex observers require z ~ 0 (anthropic coincidence)
- The MCMC predicts that we will always be close to equality
Difference from Alternative Models
| Model | Nature of DE | w(z) |
|---|---|---|
| ΛCDM | Cosmological constant | w = -1 (exact) |
| Quintessence | Dynamic scalar field | Variable w(z) |
| MCMC | Residual Mp/Ep tension | w ≈ -1 + O(ε) |
The MCMC predicts small deviations from w = -1, potentially detectable with DESI and Euclid.
